About the CharDham Yatra

The Char Dham Yatra in the abode of Himalayas brings you to the best experience of your life. It is believed that one must visit these place once in their life time as it helps you in achieving moksha. The Char dhan yatra is a set of four pilgrimage sites including Yamunotri the source of Yamuna river abode to the goddess yamuna situated at the altitude of 3293 mts approx. 30kms to Uttarkashi district. Second one is Gangotri on the banks of bhagirathi river and the source of Ganga river at the altitude of 3100mts. It is where goddess Ganga descended when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from the locks of his hair. Third one is Kedarnath located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand at the altitude of 3583mts at the Chorabhari glacier abode of lord Shiva. Kedarnath is reached through a 16km trek after Gaurikund. The last one is Badrinath the abode of Lord Vishnu located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand at the altitude of 3300mts along the bank of Alaknanda river. Neelkanth parvat is visible from Badrinath. All the three dhams except kedarnath are directly accessible through vehicle. The Char dham yatra is only visited during summers as in winters it is covered with snow. The mystics of each site has qualified them to form a sacred pilgrimage tour.

Day 1: Get Ready to Explore

Begin your journey from Delhi. Reach Haridwar by evening time, check-in to the hotel then later you will visit Har Ki Paidi for evening Arti. Have dinner and rest well to be prepared for the journey through the hills next day.

Day 2 :Get Ready to Explore

Alright, since you have gathered basic amenities, you can proceed further for an expedition that can change your outlook completely. Begin your journey by reaching Barkot from Haridwar (215kms, 7hrs). Whether you have opted for Chardham Yatra package or have set out on your own, you are will assured of comfortable overnight stay in hotels in Barkot.

Day 3 : Yatra to Pious Yamunotri

Leave early morning for Janki Chatti from where a trek leads you to your first destination of Chardham yatra. A 6kms trek via Hanuman Chatti and Phool Chatti invigorates an enthralling trip. On reaching the holy shrine, take a dip in Garam Kund and perform Puja at holy Temple dedicated to Yamunotri Ji. Hanuman Chatti, Surya Kund, Yamunotri Temple and Divya Shila are the main attractions here. Drive back to Barkot or Syaan Chatti or Rana Chatti from Janki Chatti the very same day.

Day 4 : Head to Uttarkashi

To reach your next destination of Char Dham Yatra head for Uttarkashi (82kms, 4hrs). On your way, do not miss out on attractions like Prakateshwar Caves (formed by limestone and dedicated to Lord Shiva). Make most of your time at Uttarkashi by visiting the temple of Lord Vishwanath. Lodge at peaceful and comfortable hotel booked for you.

Day 5 : To Gangotri and Back

Morning is perfect for a drive to holy land of Gangotri. Perform puja and take a dip in the sacred river and leave for Uttarkashi the same day. Stay at same place as day 4. On way will visit, Kalp Kedar temple at winter place of Maa Ganga.

Day 6 : Base at Picturesque Guptkashi

Prepare yourself for an enthralling trip to Kedarnath. The trip can be divided in two steps in order to avoid fatigue. First drive from Uttarakashi to Guptkashi (223kms, 10 hrs) and spend a night here. Guptkashi is an exotic small town filled with the aroma of magnolia, which also offers a perfect view of Chaukhamba Peak. There are many options of comfortable accommodations here. Visiting Vishwanath Temple and Ardh Narishwar Temple in the evening is a good idea.

Day 7 : Yatra to Kedarnath

As a second step, trek to the lofty mountains of Kedarnath for darshan and puja. Witness the impeccable natural beauty and spirituality that surges in the air of Kedarnath. On way we will visit Gaurikund or take bath in hot water spring.

Day 8 : Leave for Ukhimath / Guptkashi

After morning homage at the temple, trek back to Gaurikund (last road head). On reaching here, you can drive towards Ukhimath (2-3 hrs.) directly. This small town is winter place of Kedar baba. Often called as the Abode of Gods. You can find good accommodations here.

Day 8 : Badrinath via Chopta Tungnath and There You Are!

Set out early for hassle-free darshan and puja at Badrinath Temple. Take a dip in Tapt Kund and visit Temple. There are number of accommodation options available at Badrinath.

Day 10 : Visit Mana (last village of India)

Visiting many more places like Vyas cave, Ganesh cave and drive towards Rudraprayag On the way will visit, Narshimha temple, Sanakracharya’s meditation place, Panch Paryagas.

Day 11 : Drive back to Delhi

Mandatory Documents

Original and photocopy of government photo identity card- (Passport, Aadhaar Card, Driving license or voters ID, Medical Certificate)

If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.
